Requirements to rent a car

For both car owners and renters safety, and for insurance reasons, you as a renter need to meet the following requirements for your profile to be verified:

Be minimum 21 years old or 25 years old for premium cars (defined by GoMore)
Have a valid B driving license for driving in Sweden (Please note, you as a renter are responsible to check if your driving license is valid in Sweden)
Have had a driver's license for at least 1 year
Can verify your identity with a Mobile BankID or other valid ID document and a valid driving license
Can verify your phone number via SMS

When you verify yourself by signing with Mobile BankID, a credit check and an automatic check of your driver's license is made before the first time you rent a car. A credit check is also made when we do a manual verification of your profile, where you might be requested to upload different documentation to verify high credibility etc. We use Bisnode as a credit check partner and the credit information does not affect your UC.

How long does it take before my profile is verified?

Please note that verifications without Mobile BankID are handled manually by the GoMore team and the timing of when your profile will be verified can vary depending on when we receive your profile (longer handling time is expected during weekends and after working hours), but we always do our best to handle all new incoming approvals as fast as possible.

Although you meet all our requirements to rent a car, GoMore reserves the right to refuse membership applications. Please read more information in our terms.

At the beginning of the rental period, the renter and any extra driver must present a valid driving license, which is also registered in the rental contract. This is done for safety reasons so that car owners and GoMore can make sure that the car is handed over to the right person. Car owners must not start the rental period if the renter can not present a valid driving license.

It is possible to add an extra driver to your booking. This can be added in the booking step or by making a change in your booking (Note: extra drivers can only be added before the rental has started).
